Important Information
In an emergency or when your daytime practice is closed, please call your usual practice on their phone number and you'll be automatically redirected to the team at Highland Vet Emergencies.
If your pet needs urgent care after your regular vet is closed and before Highland Vet Emergencies opens, you will be required to attend one of our Inverness vets for emergency treatment.
Simply call your regular vet as usual and you'll be redirected to the emergency vet.
*****
The cost of a consultation with Highland Vet Emergencies is £210, with treatment additional. If your pet needs tp be hospitalised at Highland Vet Emergencies, they will be cared for by a dedicated out-of-hours vet and nurse, who are on-site throughout Highland Vet Emergencies’ opening hours.
If your pet requires further care once Highland Vet Emergencies is closed, you will be asked to collect them before closing time, to transport them to your day vet for ongoing care. In the rare event they are too poorly to travel, alternative arrangements may be made on a case-by-case basis. This will be discussed with you by the duty vet.
For more complex cases, a second opinion may be sought. Highland Vet Referrals operates out of the same building so we are well placed to refer for medical and surgical cases should this be required. Should the care your pet requires be beyond the service provision available, we will explore options with you, which may involve travel to a specialist hospital. This would be organised on a case-by-case basis and with your consent.
